ABOUT ALAN BONNER
I've built more than thirty companies over the past 30 years. Took Pinnacle Technology Group public on the London Stock Exchange. Delivered massive high-profile events. Raced sports cars at the highest level (including Le Mans). Produced Emmy-nominated documentaries with Jack Canfield and Brian Tracy.
But none of that is why I do what I do now!
What drives me today isn't chasing new ventures or adding another line to the CV. It's working one-to-one with established entrepreneurs (typically £1M-£5M+ revenue) who've built something real but can't break through to the next level.
They're stuck despite working harder than ever. And I know that feeling because I've lived it multiple times across different businesses.
How I Got Here
I started Pinnacle Technology Group back in 1998. Eventually served around 2,300 customers. Built it from nothing and took it public on the London Stock Exchange in 2007.
Sounds impressive on paper.
But the reality? I spent a decade making every mistake you can make when growing a business. Cashflow crises. Revenue plateaus. Working 80-hour weeks wondering if I was built for this.
Until going public on the LSE, everything was harder than it needed to be. The IPO process forced extreme discipline, structure, accountability, precision. It rewired how I thought about strategy, execution, and scaling.
That experience (along with the years of trial and error before it) became the foundation of everything I teach now.
What I Learned from High-Stakes Projects
My background spans beyond the boardroom. I've delivered high-profile broadcast and logistics projects for the London Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, the Queen's Jubilee Celebrations, and the Pope's State Visit to the UK.
These weren't small corporate events with comfortable timelines. They were global stage events where failure wasn't an option. You either delivered or you didn't. There was no grey area.
Those experiences taught me precision, resilience, and leadership under pressure. Lessons that now inform how I help businesses perform at their best when the stakes are high.
Storytelling, Film, and Strategic Narrative
As a producer, I helped tell the stories of Jack Canfield and Brian Tracy in award-winning documentaries that earned two Telly Awards and an Emmy nomination.
Through film, I learned how powerful narrative can be (not just in entertainment, but in business). Your story, when told well, becomes a strategic asset. It's the difference between being another option in a crowded market and being the obvious choice.
Most businesses plateau not because their product is wrong or their team isn't good enough. They flatline because their brand positioning hasn't kept pace with their ambition. They've become invisible.
Racing, Discipline, and Business Under Pressure
With over 25 years in motorsport, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, racing taught me discipline, focus, and adaptability. The same qualities that keep businesses alive through unpredictable markets.
Whether on the track or in business, success comes down to systems, mindset, and execution under pressure. You can't control everything, but you can control how you respond. That's what separates the businesses that break through from the ones that stay stuck.
Philanthropy and Perspective
I've served as Special Envoy of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, working alongside Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene on humanitarian initiatives across Africa.
That experience showed me that business and philanthropy are deeply connected. Both are vehicles for impact. Success is about what you contribute (not about what you achieve).
Philanthropy gave me perspective on what actually matters. And it reminded me that the businesses worth building are the ones that create value beyond revenue.
What I Do Now
Today I work with a small number of established business owners one-to-one. Sarah running her £2.8M corporate marketing consultancy. Raj with his £4.2M manufacturing business. Claire and her £1.5M professional services firm.
My clients aren't people who need basic business advice. They've already proven their concept. They've built real companies. They're smart, capable, experienced.
What they need is strategic clarity. Someone who's been through what they're going through and can help them see the patterns they can't see from inside their business.
I help them simplify complexity, create predictable growth systems, and build businesses that serve them instead of enslaving them. No fluff. No guru hype. Just clarity, structure, and hands-on strategy that gets results.
If You're Ready
If you're at a crossroads, scaling faster than you can manage, or stuck despite working harder than ever, I can help you find clarity, regain control, and build a business that performs under pressure.
With the right support, growth is simpler (and faster) than you might imagine.
